NEW Version of CORGIdirect's Central Heating Commissioning/Inspection Record
The Heating and Hot Water Industry Council (HHIC), who represent the majority of boiler manufacturer's in the UK today, introduced during 2013 a recommended practice of recording the Carbon Monoxide (CO) level as well as the CO/CO2 ratio as part of the commissioning process of a new boiler installation.
This recommended practice becomes a compulsory requirement as of 1st April 2014 and therefore, CORGIdirect's technical team has taken the opportunity to update its form to reflect the latest requirements which will also be reflected in the Benchmark Scheme documentation provided by appliance manufacturers (see Note).
Two data fields (one new the other re-jigged) have therefore been introduced under the headings: Appliance Checks and Primary Circuit Checks.
For those who are familiar with the previous version of the form, the Primary Circuit Checks is a new heading but uses previous form data – an air test and duration of that test for new heating circuits (where required) has also been added.
The Appliance Checks data field however see's the introduction of new:
...alongside the previous CO/CO2 ratio fields.
Every field may not be applicable to every job that the form may be used for, so engineering judgement alongside the guidance that accompanies the pad of forms will need to be exercised.
When completed, the form will help you accurately report on the test/checks that were carried out while commissioning a central heating boiler (see Note).
In addition, this form is ideal for undertaking a survey of an existing central heating system, perhaps during the process of purchasing a new property.
Note: CORGIdirect's CP 20 form is an additional voluntary use form to the Benchmark Scheme, which all registered gas engineers need to complete when commissioning a new boiler installation. Failure to complete the Benchmark documentation may invalidate a customer's warranty.
Please be aware that you need to be Gas Safe Registered to be able to purchase this product.
